Taiwan Travel Worker
Volunteer (September - November 2018)
The Taiwan Travel Worker program is a project created by 泛旅遊 Redefine Tourism Mixer, with the goal of marketing Taiwanese culture to the world. The program accepts volunteers from Taiwan and different countries, pairs 1 Taiwanese and 1 foreigner, and sends them to different Taiwanese communities to assist, learn, and document their experiences.
As a volunteer, I wrote travel articles, designed menus, produced video and photo content, managed Facebook pages, and spoke about my experiences in forums to increase tourism and awareness of different Taiwanese communities.
In the process, the following goals were meant to be achieved:
1. Help the community to be self-supporting.
2. Market Taiwanese culture to the world.
3. Cultivate Taiwanese international receptionists.
4. Show the diversity of Taiwanese tourism.
5. Have an in-depth exploration of Taiwanese culture.
